Pazera Free APE to MP3 Converter is a tool that can convert Monkey's Audio (APE) into compressed MP3 files.

Monkey's Audio - or APE - is a lossless audio compression format that can make copies of music that are 1:1 exact copies. When decompressed, the audio is exactly the same as the source material, whether it be a CD or some other starting media.

APE has some hardware support but not all gadgets recognise it and those that do don't recognise certain elements of it. For better compatibility, converting APE to MP3 may be a good idea.

Pazera Free APE to MP3 Converter is a freeware tool that can easily perform this conversion (it can also output to WAV). In addition, the program allows you to extract audio tracks from audio files based on the CUE sheet. CUE files are often attached to the Audio CD images created by programs like EAC (Exact Audio Copy), CDRWin, CUERipper.

The application supports metadata (tags) and can output with a constant bitrate (CBR), average bitrate (ABR) or variable bitrate (VBR). The encoding is done by the LAME MP3 encoder, ensuring the best possible quality of the output files.
