Bitdefender Rootkit Remover is a tool that can detect and remove rootkits in Windows.
Among the rootkits it can detect are Mebroot, all TDL families (TDL/SST/Pihar), Mayachok, Mybios, Plite, XPaj, Whistler, Alipop, Cpd, Fengd, Fips, Guntior, MBR Locker, Mebratix, Niwa, Ponreb, Ramnit, Stoned, Yoddos, Yurn, Zegost and also cleans infections with Necurs.
New rootkit families are added as they become known.
A good advantage this rootkit remover has over others is you can run it immediately and don't have to boot into safe mode. You may need to reboot as part of a clean-up operation.
NOTE: This version is for 32-bit Windows installations ONLY. If you have 64-bit Windows then download Bitdefender Rootkit Remover x64 instead.
