Your options for unlocking the computer for your own use include the typical text password, or alternatively you can use a USB key so that it will only unlock when you plug the USB key into the system.
It can even lock the keyboard completely, except for the keys you need to enter your password. Attempts to shutdown the computer, such as pressing the power button, will also be blocked by the software (although it cannot protect against killing power to the system obviously.)
While the computer is locked, the Windows desktop will also be out of view to protect your privacy. See the screenshots below.
